A new course, Bioinformatics for Beginners (BIOL:3212), will be offered starting in Fall 2025. This course will be taught by Dr. Bin He, Assistant Professor, Biology.
This course is designed as a higher-level Bioinformatics course specifically tailored to undergraduate and junior graduate students. It doesn't require prior programming experience and will not overlap with other advanced courses (e.g., Computational Genomics or Scientific Computing).

- Pairwise and multiple sequence alignment
- Sequence homology search
- Species/gene phylogeny
- Protein structure prediction
- Transcriptomics analysis
